What it is
No Data Centers is a clear, firm position: Ranson should not become a data center town.
Why it matters
Data centers can bring heavy infrastructure strain with limited community return, and they do not fit the kind of growth Ranson needs. The city should protect West Virginia culture, quality of life, and infrastructure before chasing projects that do not serve residents.
What I will do
- Oppose data center proposals and push for clear standards that protect neighborhoods
- Require transparent, plain-English public summaries for major development decisions
- Prioritize growth that fits Ranson: light industrial, skilled trades, healthcare-support, and locally owned small businesses
- Support jobs that do not overload infrastructure or sacrifice neighborhood quality of life
What success looks like: Ranson grows in a way that matches our values, protects neighborhoods, and strengthens services without sacrificing our culture or quality of life.
