What it is
Ranson Culture & Community Center is a community hub that gives Ranson a true home base for families, youth, seniors, and community services. The approach is site-first and plan-first so residents get a real plan, not a vague promise.
Why it matters
Families should not have to leave town to find safe, positive programs for kids, accessible activities for seniors, and community events that bring neighbors together.
What I will do
- Start with a Site & Feasibility Plan that identifies 2 to 3 viable locations
- Compare costs, accessibility, and community impact before choosing the best option transparently
- Open RC3 in phases so Ranson builds what people use and expands what works
- Build partnerships with schools, nonprofits, veterans groups, local businesses, and community organizations
Funding approach
The funding plan should be responsible and transparent. I will evaluate the most practical mix of General Fund support, grants, partners, and if structured correctly, RFI Neighborhood investment - with clear caps and public reporting.
What success looks like: consistent weekly programming, high participation, and a real community space residents are proud of.
